When I first started in the industry of website development, I was one of the few web designers in the market. Over time, the industry has evolved, obligating me to keep up with the advance to be able to stay alive. I had to optimize my website to make sure it performs at its best, and meets the high standards required. In the beginning I struggled to get my own website to perform well.  Fortunately with extensive research, training, trial and error I got some great results. I had learned the secret to a successful website and digital marketing campaign.

  • A modern and user friendly layout is one that is elegant, simple, and intuitive to visitor needs. It should include a balanced combination of textual and visual components, placed in user-friendly manner.
  • A conversion strategy is a series of steps designed to take the customer through the buying process, addressing any concerns they are likely to have at each stage of conversion.
  • Can a fifth grader identify the problem you solve in 5 seconds or less? Read the content and check that a fifth grader can understand what it says. Your website content should be presented in a simple clear way that is easy to understand follow.
  • Mobile responsive websites automatically fit the content to the size of the device visitors are using; however, to optimize it for mobile, means to consider the way mobile is used. Buttons and links should be far enough from each other that a user doesn’t click the wrong link by accident, spacing between sections should not have large gaps, items should not overlap.
  • A call to action is a statement that presents visitors the ability to perform your desired conversion step. Each page should have a unique call to action that is hard to refuse. Examples include: going deeper into your website, filling out a contact form, calling your business, or making a purchase online.
